A very short post today – but it’s about my upcoming plans (finally), so it’ll at least be interesting!
As some of you are already aware, I’ve cut my NZ plans short by a few months, due to various circumstances… and I will soon be leaving the Land of the Long White Cloud for a couple of weeks in its westerly cousin, Australia. I figured I couldn’t come all the way down here without also jumping over the Tasman to see Oz, so I’m heading over there on Friday. It’s coming up very fast, and I have quite mixed feelings about leaving NZ. Queenstown has been amazing (hopefully I’ll be able to get a post up about it shortly), but also I’m realizing how much I’ve grown used to the culture and people here. I guess 7 months will do that to you!
I’m heading first to Melbourne, then to Sydney. I’m also hoping to get a day or two of Whitsunday sailing in there somewhere! We’ll see how it goes.
For now, this is goodbye to NZ. There were a couple of things I’d have liked to have done, but ended up not being able to due to time constraints and other issues (i.e. visiting Mount Cook and the Franz Josef glacier), so maybe I’ll come back again one day (for a shorter period) :).
I’m also already thinking of the next adventure(s)– we’ll see how things go!
