			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Whoops, I&#8217;d nearly forgotten that I hadn&#8217;t posted my conclusions about this experiment! And the conclusion is&#8230; inconclusive. There were too many external factors and circumstances which occured over the week to actually draw accurate conclusions from the experiment, however, I did figure out the following:</p>
<p>1. Perceiving myself as more healthy helped me feel like the experiment was working (even if it wasn&#8217;t)<br />
2. I really like Jugo Juice<br />
3. The Jugo Juice dude in my building knows me now and suggests new stuff for me to try<br />
4. I had more energy in the afternoons, thanks to all of that fruit sugar<br />
5. Getting over 200% of your daily Vitamin C intake at once can have unpleasant effects on your digestion systems&#8230; still haven&#8217;t figured out if this is due to cleansing or just due to a bad reaction, so proceed with caution<br />
6. A 24oz smoothie is more than enough for a meal replacement<br />
7. If I want a salad, I need to hit the salad bar in this building before 12:30pm. After that, only the more unappetizing stuff is left</p>
<p>Another &#8216;inconclusive conclusion&#8217; which I came to is that I did actually lose some fat off my stomach and waist. Not sure how much at this point (I can&#8217;t measure myself at work), and I&#8217;m not sure if it was because of the experiment, or exercise, or the placebo effect from the mind-trick (see #1 in the list), or a combination of all three. But hey, after only a week, that&#8217;s pretty good progress, no? I&#8217;m still drinking Jugo Juice for lunch, but I&#8217;ve downsized to the 14oz so that I can eat other stuff as well. Yay for healthy eating <img src='http://silverstreaked.net/blog/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /> .</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So the first day of my Jugo Juice lunch replacement has come and gone. Yesterday, I ordered a &#8220;normal&#8221; 24oz Summer Strawberry with extra soy protein, and proceeded to consume it over a 1.5 hour period. Result? A rather urgent need to use the washroom later in the afternoon, but nothing otherwise unpleasant. 24oz is a surprisingly large amount of liquid, and it definitely did a good job of filling me up. According to the nutrition booklet I have, this particular smoothie has 350% of my daily Vitamin C intake :O.</p>
<p>However, I then ate like a pig at supper. So I may have negated any effects of lunch. Oh well.</p>
<p>So today&#8230; hmm. I think maybe a Berry Binge would be good? Or perhaps a Righteous Red. Decisions, decisions.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So for those of you who haven&#8217;t heard me whine and complain about this already, I managed somehow at the beginning of the summer to put on a rather unappealing amount of fat in the stomach area. Normally, since I have a high metabolism and naturally slim figure, this doesn&#8217;t happen, but somehow, it did. And I thoroughly dislike it. Now, don&#8217;t get me wrong&#8211; I&#8217;m not saying I&#8217;m fat. I&#8217;ve still got a rather low BMI for my age and height BUT. I just would like to have my previously-flat stomach back plsthx. So I&#8217;ve been working out quite a bit more than I used to, and am trying to eat healthier&#8230; but this week, I wanted to try a little experiment.</p>
<p>For every working day this week (Mon-Fri), I will replace my normally unhealthy lunches with a large Jugo Juice fruit shake (+protein) as main meal replacement, and perhaps a salad on the side for additional greens. I want to see what this does to my system, and whether or not my eating habits have actually been making a dent in my health. So, to start, here are some measurements:</p>
<p>Waist: 27 in<br />
Thigh: 20in<br />
Stomach (at largest part): 31in<br />
Butt + Hips: 35in</p>
<p>Unfortunately I can&#8217;t get my weight right now, but the point of this is actually not to lose weight. It&#8217;s to lose fat. Maybe they&#8217;re not entirely mutually exclusive, but I&#8217;m really not concerned about my weight, so if it goes up or down right now, it doesn&#8217;t matter. So let&#8217;s see how this goes! I&#8217;ll post updates as I go, so keep checking back! <img src='http://silverstreaked.net/blog/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
