On Topics Which I Am Currently Interested In
So, I just realized that both of the last two posts had to do with telephones and telephone calls. Completely unintentional on my part, and actually rather funny. The other thing I realized today is that I have been doing a lot of web reading lately on very few topics. Obviously, this would be because I have more than a passing interest in said topics. Now, I also seem to go through "phases" of interest in something, which means that I might not be interested in these topics in, say, a month, but for right now they are occupying at least some small part of my interest. Here is a list of my top five (or at least, the five I can think of first), plus some links just in case YOU happen to have an interest in these areas too:
1. Air transport-- airline companies as a whole, what they are doing right, what they are doing wrong, customer service, airport/airplane/baggage experiences, "confessions of...", etc.
- AOL Air Travel
- CBC: What Airlines are Doing Wrong
2. Related topic to the above: Smart packing for trips-- the 'one bag' movement, how to pack smartly, how not to pack, what to take, what to buy at your destination, good bags, smart travelling.
- The Travelite FAQ
- OneBag
3. Decluttering and simplifying-- clutter and Stuff, but life as well.
- Unclutterer
- Simply Stated: Blog
- Frugal Babe
- mnmlist
4. Personal Development-- relationships, perspectives, healthy mindsets, healthy eating, exercise, viewpoints, advice, tips, etc.
- The Happiness Project
- Zen Habits
- Tiny Buddha
- Urban Monk
5. Personal Finance-- On saving, and saving wisely (and getting rid of debt, loans, bad credit, etc). Also budgeting.
- Get Rich Slowly
- Dave Ramsey (author of The Total Money Makeover)
- The Simple Dollar
I'll add more links as I come across them. (This post has also struck me as a great jumping point for organizing a long list of links on Evernote. Maybe I'll do this later). Other things I have been reading about: entrepreneurship, design, effective charities, and DIY crafts.

What, you didn’t learn the packing light concept from Jill and I? XD We are the queens of that.
I do like the links, looks like your mind is all over the place on topics.
Also, would you recommend Evernote? I was thinking about getting it for Simmons but I’m not sure how much I’d like it. >w<

I’ve never actually seen you guys pack! I’ve only ever seen your stuff AFTER you’ve packed, which isn’t really that helpful…
And yes, I’d totally recommend Evernote! It’s replaced all of my informational text files, to-do lists, and link lists (including bookmarks). I’m also going to be using it during school for notes and assignments. It’s really easy to use, too, and you can use it pretty much any way that makes sense to you (tags or no tags, multiple small notes or single large notes, multiple notebooks or one notebook, etc). If I was to get an iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad, this would definitely be the first app I’d put on it
.

Well, we’re pretty insane when it comes to packing. XD When you want to travel light, you figure out what you need and what you don’t need pretty fast. When we all go somewhere together (wanna do Greece/UK with us in 2012?) we’ll help you get into the rhythm. >w<
All right, sounds like I may need to get that app.
And nice 'Listening To' list. You may want to widen your spectrum before that gets permanently ingrained on your brain.

Yeah, I bet. I’m going to be trying my best to pack light when I head off in September, but when one is packing for 8 months… we’ll see.
Actually… my friend David and I were already planning a Europe trip in 2012, because he and I are both graduating that year (barring any unforseen circumstances), so it would be a great grad gift
. We could possibly meet up with you guys for a couple of days, depending on when we’re all there, of course.
Listening to songs on repeat actually gets them OUT of my head, which is what I was trying to do with that one. It has worked, so far…

Well, it’ll depend on where we are as well. We can try and plan it so that we overlap. Where in Europe are you guys planning on going?
I’m thinking the easiest place to overlap would be London; unless you are planning on seeing the Greek Islands too. (but then we have to be on the same island at the same time, which would be much more difficult)
